This year for our Houghton family reunion we stayed in Island Park and went through West Yellowstone. We used to go here every year when I was growing up but we have not been back for about 12 years. We were all excited to go back!
We found a sweet cabin that would fit us all and it was right on the river, we had such a pretty view!
So grateful for these girls!
The kids had so much fun playing in the water and on the canoe.
They had lots of fun with the air hockey table and pool table.
The first day we headed to Big Springs.
Trying to see all the fish under the bridge, there wasn't as many fish as I remember when I was little.
We took a tour of Johnny Sack's cabin...
He was 4'11, he is up on a stump so he looks taller, but he was just a little guy!
We went back to the cabin and played out on the water some more!
Bryce took a swim....
and scared the kids!
Love him!
We played fear factor and ate some gross stuff!
Tenille was the winner for the girls, she rocked it, I didn't last long!
Ryan won for the boys!
That night we went the the local Rodeo!!
The next day we spent all day in West Yellowstone.
Good ol' Old Faithful!
We went and saw the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.
On the way home we went through Ucon where my mom grew up. We stopped at the cemetery to see my grandparent's headstone, I had not been back there since they passed away. I miss them and love them dearly!!
My Mom's two oldest sisters passed away as babies, Sara died at birth.
Shirley passed away in a house fire. I can not imagine loosing any babies let alone my first two!
At least Grandpa and Grandma are with them now.
My Mom's cousin still lives in Ucon on a big farm with not your usual animals. We stopped by to say Hi and the kids were loving that they got to see and feed the baby camel.
And baby buffalo!
He has 3 camels and this is Ralphie the camel!
Broc was obsessed with Ralphie, he wanted to take him home!
We went and saw the actual Idaho Falls...
and the Idaho Falls Temple.
We had such a fun time, it went by way too fast!
