This past weekend we were able to make a quick but fun trip to Boise, ID for the Davis Cup with Spencer's parents. If you are like me, you may not know that there is such a thing as Davis Cup... (I'm slowly but surly learning lots about tennis). According to my husband and lots of other tennis lovers this was a once in a lifetime event to have it so close to home. We had to go! I have to admit I wasn't thrilled about going but I am so glad I did, it actually was really fun!
The opening ceremony....The first tennis match I've ever seen a live band, flag ceremony, noise makers, and pom poms...my kind of party! :) But of course, cheers were still only aloud at the appropriate times.

We had fun visiting with some of the people Spencer teaches and got to go down by the court.
Day # 2: We are ready to cheer on the Bryan twin brothers in doubles, they are number one in doubles in the USA (and best doubles team of all time).
The LONGEST doubles match in history, well at least my history! They play the best of 5 sets and in the 5th set they have to win by 2 games and it went on and on and on (4.5 hours)!
It finally ended with a loss for USA...it was intense! Final set 13 games vs 15!
I never would have thought watching tennis could be so fun! :)
