Marchant Family Trip to Oahu!! Part I

Wow, where do I begin.  First off, it has literally taken me many nights and MANY hours to get these pictures on the blog. It really has been a little bit of a nightmare!  After going through all 300 pictures I picked our top 80 to show you.  The first night I started to load the pictures, 71 had downloaded of 80 at 11:30 pm. I was waiting for them to finish loading before I went to bed, very sleepy, then  the power went out!!!  I lost them ALL!  Are you kidding me??  So I called it a night and went to bed.  Day #2 of trying to load pics, the power went out again and the computer froze.  I am not sure what the deal is with the power going out but...long story short though, it has been quite the process!  I think I have got them all loaded now and I will begin our venture through Oahu.  I am doing this mostly for journal purposes but it's fun to show all our friends and family who look at the blog.  So enjoy!

Day #1
We met Spencer's brother Bryan and his parents at their house  in Salt Lake at 6:30 am.  Immediately, we headed to the airport and loaded our first plane for Denver.  Spencer's brother Adam, his wife and their two boys live there.  After flying there and meeting them, we all got on one big plane to HAWAII.  Notice our color coordinated shirts.  Spencer's mom got each family their own color.  It actually came in very handy and it was fun to see everyone's reaction as they started to count all the colored shirts haha it was great!
In the Denver airport waiting for our next flight...

About 7 hours later...we made it to our destination, the  beautiful island of Hawaii...Aloha!
The travel agent  had someone there to greet us, giving each of us our own lei.
First family photo in  the Hawaii airport.  After getting all 5 rental cars, we headed to Costco...shortly thereafter, Sean got lost, with no phone or GPS.  After an hour or so, thanks to the colored shirts he found Costco and spotted us .  We ate dinner and loaded  up on food and supplies for the next 10 days.  Later that night we made it to the  beach house.   We unloaded all our bagage, checked out the house, and headed to bed.  What a long day of traveling!

Day#2
Note:  Hawaii time is 4 hours behind us.  So about 6 a.m., most of us were awake (being 10 a.m. Utah time).  So we went out to enjoy an amazing sunrise!

This is a photo taken from mine and Spencer's bedroom door.  We had a beautiful view!  It seriously is post card pretty.  Loved it!
That morning I took a few more pics of the house... Below is all 5 rental cars.
The front of the house.  It was perfect.  It fit all 29 of us really well.   We had a perfect location on the north shore...close to lots of fun stuff and our own private beach in the back yard.  What more could you ask for?

We spent most of our time at our little beach.
The backyard had coconut trees.  Kinda fun to break one open.

Spencer's Dad, Dwight, rented a kayak for the week.  We had lots of fun on it.

Perfect day playing in the ocean and building sand castles.
Spence helped the kids build a volcano sand castle.  It would not have been complete with out the Diet Coke and Mentos explosion.
Thanks to Meggin for the sweet picture.  I was too busy trying to get it on video.  But this picture says it all.
