Happy Anniversary!

A year ago today was the best day of my life.  I loved every minute of it.  I am so happy and grateful to be married and in love with my best friend.  This year has flown by but it has been the best year!  I could not have found a more perfect match for me.  He makes me so happy and I love him with all my heart.

For our anniversary we went up to Park City for the day.  We went shopping at the outlets, went over to the Alpine Slide and Coaster and had lunch. This is us on the lift going up to the Alpine slide.

These are the sleds you ride down on...It was fun!

But not as fun as the Coaster!  Oh man, I felt 12 all over again.  Spencer and I rode together on this one and we laughed so hard we were crying!  This is us going up...nice and slow.  Then when it comes around you go straight down.  It has brakes but you can't fall off the track and you are seat belted in so Spence went as fast as we could and never hit the brakes.  It was seriously SO fun!!  We loved it....highly recommend it!

Then we headed to The Homestead in Midway.  We swam in the Crater, it's all mineral water, 80 ft deep and the water is 90 degrees.  This picture is from the bottom looking up to the opening.

Swimming in the Crater... we didn't stay in too long because it was so warm but it was fun.

That night they had a concert and dinner out on the grass at the Homestead.

This was our little cottage we stayed in.

The Homestead

On our way home we drove the long way through Kamas, Oakley and Peoa.  Spencer's mom's family, the Preece's, have a cabin in Peoa that he wanted to show me.  A lot of the Marchant's are buried in the cemetery there so we checked it all out.  This is Spence at Smith and Morehouse Reservoir up from the  cabin.

Us at Smith and Morehouse.

The Preece cabin.

The names of the veterans that are buried here.  You can't read it very well but there are lots of Marchant's on there.

At the top of the cemetery Spencer showed me this headstone that says:
Brooks participant in the martyrdom of the Prophet Joseph Smith.

We thought this was his Great Grandpa's but is wasn't there was so many Marchant headstones.
We has such a fun weekend together.  I feel so lucky and blessed to have such an awesome supportive husband.  Happy Anniversary Babe!  Love ya!!
