Last night (6.29.11) Spencer's dad, Dwight retired from Zion Bank with 42 years. They had a reception for him on the 18th floor of the Zions Bank building in downtown Salt Lake. It was a great tribute to Dwight. He had many friends, family and co-workers there to support him and give him their thanks for all his hard work over the years. He will definitely be missed!
They gave Rosemary a beautiful bouquet of pink roses to say thanks to her for all her support to Dwight through the 42 years.
Bryan, Coach Mike and Spence
All the family got him this T- shirt quilt of all the T-shirts they had collected over the years from Zions Bank. He loved it. It turned out awesome.
Almost the whole family...missing Meggin and their two boys McKay and Ty. Adam flew in that day from Colorado.
Dwight's brothers and sisters that came.
Spencer and his Dad
As we were leaving the celebration, I asked Michelle to take this picture. Over the years, I have sincerely and constantly looked up to him. As I have associated with my dad at multiple bank functions, I have always been impressed with his demeanor, leadership, and sense of humor. With his role at the bank, I was always impressed with how he associated with his c0-workers, employees, and clients. He always displayed a sense of humble confidence and never acted superior than anyone else. More importantly, he always magnified his calling as a father and I will forever be grateful! Love ya Dad!
Then after we went over to the Marchant's. Ever year on the 4th of July Adam usually gets a pie in the face (Marchant tradition) seems how he lives in Colorado it has been hard to get him every year... Spencer and Greg got it last year. So Greg and Spence had a grand idea to get Adam while he was in town...few days early but he got the annual pie in the face! :)
Happy 4th of July Adam!Below I posted a video of all the Marchant brother's singing at the reception last night. Rosemary made up the lyrics to the tune " Leavin On a Jet Plane" She for sure has a talent for stuff like this! It was perfect. Everyone loved it. I love it when they all sing together. Make sure and turn the music off down on the side of the blog before watching the video. I missed the very first but got the rest. They sounded awesome! Good job guys!
