Last Friday was Spencer's Dad's birthday. We went down there for a birthday BBQ. All of the kids went in on this snorkeling gear with prescription goggles for Dwight so he would be snorkel ready for Hawaii! Only 4 more months to go! Happy Birthday Dwight! We stayed the night at Spencer's parents and flew out to Denver the next morning for a mini vacation to see Spencer's brother Adam and his family.

The first night we went to a Rockies game! It was super fun!

Spencer with Adam, Meggin and their cute boys, Ty and McKay.

I thought the field was very impressive! I sat and wondered forever on how they make the grass 2 different shades... I still have not figured it out! haha but it was sweet!

In front of the stadium.

Then Monday we ran in the Bolder Boulder 10k. It is the 2ND largest race in the Country!! Over 56 thousand runners! Insane! This is just a glimpse of them. It was so fun, I am glad we did it, it's for sure one of those things you need to experience at least once in your life. There are people handing out all kinds of crazy stuff while you run like...bacon, sausage, beer (we did not partake of it, just in cause you were wondering ) cupcakes, chips ( of course Spence could not resist the chips), donuts... all kinds of stuff! There was also many belly dancers and people dressed up in costumes. About mile 3 there was a slip and slide that Spence went on. It was fun to run with Spencer and take it all the craziness!

Spencer and Adam after the race in the CU stadium.

Sunday night we drove to Meggin's aunt and uncles house. They live close to Boulder so it was easier to sleep there and wake up early to get to the race. They were super nice to feed us and let us all crash there. Above it her Aunt and cousins with us that ran the race too. Her cousins ran it dressed like Batman and Robin!

Right after the run the stadium!

It was so nice and fun to get away for the weekend and visit family. Thanks again Adam and Meggin for letting us stay and taking such good care of us. We had a blast!
