After I ran last Saturday, I got back and drove in the car to see how far I went. I was right off from 4 miles and I said to Spencer...If I would have know I was that close I would have kept running! So Thursday he came home from work and surprised me with this... The Nike + ipod! It's awesome! I was so excited to give it a try, so today I went out for my first jog with it. I set my goal on the Nike + for 6 miles, and I did it!! It really was motivating to see how far I was going when I was running! The Nike + has a friendly little voice inside that tells you how many miles you are at. When I got home I had ran 6.25 miles, in 1:11:05, averaged 11:22 min/mile and burned 730 calories! We have lots of hills where we live and I tried to run mostly flat but the hills definitely slowed my time down... I am not the fastest runner, but over all not bad for the 2ND run this year! :) In May I am running the Ogden Marathon relay with girls from work at Ford and Draper Dental, my leg is the first 7 miles...but my goal is to run the first half, so we shall see how it goes!

It looks like this the white piece fits in your ipod and the other piece goes in your shoe. I have the Nike + running shoes, so there is a spot under the insole where it fits perfect. If you don't have the Nike+ shoes, you can get a little adapter for $7 to $10 dollars to fit on any shoe...sweet huh?!

And as simple as this... in the shoe and in the ipod and your set!! I love it! Thanks Spence you really are the BEST! I am one lucky girl! :)

Your AWESOME you inspire me!
That's sweet! I have always thought that would be cool to have, but I will only wear Asics shoes for running. Nice to know that you can get the adapter to make it work with any shoe.
And way to go on the Ogden Marathon relay--that will be so fun! You will have to let me know how it goes for you!
Wish I could run that far! Heck, I wish I could run at all. Maybe this summer.;)
